From Colourist Paul Harrison : “À coming of age dance school drama, set in Leeds. Our aim was to really draw the audience into the world of these young people. Director, Sara Dunlop and DOP Jackson Hunt, wanted the film to feel real and gritty but at the same time not be a cliche. Jackson shot handheld with minimal & natural light, so in the grade we really looked to where we could pop colours and bring out the richness of the locations and wardrobe. This film was as much about shaping the shadows as it was about the light.”
